On Thursday, October the 13th the first and second-semester journalism students visited the University of North Carolina Asheville. The students had the choice of 3 sessions they could attend that were informational on journalism and were also provided lunch.

Raegan Hemphill says “I think my favorite part was lunch because it was so good. My favorite session had to be advocacy writing because it kinda showed us how to shine the spotlight on things we think need more attention in the world and school pretty much.”

 The field trip lasted a full school day and everyone left with a little something they could put to use and improve their skills in writing.
